Product Description RaxstarsTM - brilliantly simple and secure way to carry skis on any car rack. Raxstars is universal rooftop ski carrier, that fits any cross bar (factory, Yakima, Thule, etc.). 5-10x more clamping force than traditional ski racks! Ultra compact: stores in the glove box and installs with a pair of skis and poles in under a minute?removes in seconds. No tools required with a built in locking mechanism that accepts any standard padlock. Unique aerodynamic, "bombproof" design eliminates annoying wind noise and drag. Makes a handy "back-up" ski carrier. Just five easy pieces and one low price!
And coming summer 2010 the Raxstars side rail adapter (for factory racks with side rails but without cross bars) and Raxstars for snowboards - the same simple, secure, compact design.

Quick, easy and secure - a real time saver September 14, 2009 Mark Watkins 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm stoked that this little gadget will help streamline my mountain ventures this season. I grew weary of "bungeeing" my skis to the roof rack as I never really trusted the safety or the security. This portable ski carrier mounts quickly and will lock with a padlock. Its small enough that I can stow it in my Subaru's tiny rear cargo pocket and for the price, I'm getting one as a stocking stuffer for my son this Christmas.
good product for the money March 30, 2010 Richard D. Rodgers (Granbury, TX United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I didn't want to spend very much to transport my skis from Fort Worth, TX to TAOS, so this was a great solution. My recommendations when placing skis on carrier it is best to put something soft underneath if you dont want your rack to scratch, because the ski blades sits directly on the rack. Second the wrapp included works I found it faster to use a small bungee. The locking mechanism is a simple padlock. Bang for the buck this is great.
Raxstars RRROCK! October 30, 2009 Stuart A. Mackinnon 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Love these things! I used them and were a cinch to install and they store in the glovebox. Couldn'd be happier with them. Let it snow.
Five Star Simplicity in the Snow! December 20, 2009 Betsy Lawer (Anchorage, AK USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Got enough going on in the snow - these Raxstars are simple, no hassle and way easy to store.
Does the job April 2, 2010 Stephen Hultquist (Cumberland, RI, US) While they take far more than the couple of minutes to install that is claimed, they do go on rather easy and hold securely. If the weather is windy and you have a tall car they are a pain in the ass to put on but they do work. They store anywhere and are a good deal for the price.
